Up for auction is a Franchi 48A – the steel receiver variant of the better-known Franchi 48AL. This example features a ribbed barrel, and was made in 1963. It is C&R eligible.

The Franchi 48 series shares the Browning Auto 5’s ingenious friction brake recoil reduction system – offering exceptionally smooth recoil impulse when properly adjusted to the loads you are using.

This example has a small crack in the stock which was repaired by the previous owner. This owner also placed a sticker on the stock bearing their name, this could be removed if you desired. The finish on the metal parts shows signs of wear. This example would be great for skeet, close upland hunting, or wetland hunting too!
