Up for auction is Italy’s best kept secret – a Breda Automatic shotgun. These shotguns use the tried and true Browning friction braked long recoil system, just like the A5 does. However, Breda rethought the design of the receiver, perfecting its design: the trigger group, bolt, and shell carrier can be removed without any tools. The Breda also features a quick load carrier system – push the bolt release in and the carrier up, then release the bolt release and the carrier will stay up, out of the way, until you are done loading. This example sports an engraved, chrome plated receiver – the signature two-tone look that Breda developed in the mid-1940s. It also includes a vent rib barrel that includes the Breda Quick Choke system – the first factory interchangeable choke system that wasn’t based around a compensator or similar gas brake.
