Benelli 123 SL80 Engraved Inertia Operated 12ga Made in 1986 C&R Eligible
Details
Up for auction is a Benelli 123 SL80. The Benelli 121 is Benelli’s original claim to fame – utilizing Bruno Civolani’s ingenious inertial-operated system, the 121 set the standard for how simple a self-loading shotgun could be. The 123 is the engraved, high-end version of the 121. The SL80 upgrade represents the improved version of the 121 system, with easier, tool-less disassembly and better reliability with lighter loads. Sporting a steel upper receiver on an aluminum lower frame, the 121 system keeps strength and durability where it’s needed and saves weight where it can – resulting in a well-balanced, quick-cycling gun.
This shotgun is in excellent shape – it’s one of the nicest 123s I’ve ever seen. Paired with the Breda Quick choke system, you’re one bid away from what many consider to be the ultimate inertia operated shotgun.
Chokes are still made for these guns by Gemini in Italy, just search for Breda Quick Choke External thread.
