This Browning Auto-5, manufactured by FN in Belgium in 1913, is a 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun utilizing the long-recoil operating system. The early style straight stock is equal parts attractive and classic. This example features all the correct 1913 features: straight stock, the improved third type safety, straight trigger, large disassembly hole, etc.

This shotgun is functional, and would make a great display piece or project. The gun has plenty of signs of handling and hard use over the past 100 years. The forend appears free of major cracks, but the stock does have cracks. The guns would need cleaned up and a little work put into it if you planned on shooting often.
