Franchi 48AL 12ga Long Recoil Italian Like Auto 5 Made in 1965 C&R OK

Details

Long recoil just like the legendary Auto 5

Choke: Improved Modified

Length of pull: 14 Inches.

Barrel length: 26 inches.

Condition: Poor overall.

Up for auction is a Franchi 48AL. The Franchi 48 series shares the Browning Auto 5’s ingenious friction brake recoil reduction system – offering exceptionally smooth recoil impulse when properly adjusted to the loads you are using.  The aluminum receiver makes this a very light, handy gun, but the friction brake recoil system takes the edge off the recoil you’d expect from a gun this light.

This example is in poor condition. Its buttpad is cracked, pommel is loose, stock is cracked, and its vented rib is dented.

But with a little work, this would make for an excellent upland game gun, trap gun, or sporting clays gun!
